Lakeside cabins & cottages, vacation home & camping cabins on Gunflnt Lake

Here at the Gunflint Pines Resort & Campground in Northeast Minnesota, we offer a variety of cabin, cottage or lakehome accommodations for most any vacation needs.   Whatever style you choose you'll find clean, cozy accommodations waiting for you.   43 miles up the Gunflint trail in Northern Minnesota, we are nestled in among the trees of the south shore of Gunflint Lake.

Our lakeside A-frame cabins offer magnificent lake views with woodstove fireplaces and three or four bedrooms.  Offering a more traditional Northwood's cabin feel, they have dramatic vaulted ceilings and pine panel interior.   They are large enough to be shared by multiple families accommodating groups of up to 12, yet intimate enough for a couples romantic getaway.

The cottages offer 2 bedrooms in a more contemporary style.  Decorated in a combination of lake cottage and Northwood's decor the cottages offer a open floor plan with gas fireplace in the living room.  The screen deck offers a quiet view of the surrounding woods and lake.  Great for couples or a smaller family they sleep 2- 6.

Newly acquired in 2004 our Gunflint Lakehome has a slightly more private surrounding.  This cedar log home lies directly east of the main resort property.  It has 250 ft of private shoreline and separate entrance with walking trails connecting it to the main resort.  The traditional log home layout offers vaulted ceiling and a massive granite fireplace in the living room.

In the campground, our camping cabins offer a simple surrounding.  A single room with two sets of Double/Twin bunk beds, basic electric and covered deck.  You still have the feel of camping since you cook over the campfire, and utilize the main shower house, but can rest easy on a comfortable bed and sheltered from the elements.  They are great for young families, groups of fishermen, or a simple overnight before or after a canoe trip.
