Lemonade anyone?

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

Jaret Opened his lemonade stand again today on the front deck.  The weather was a little overcast and much cooler than yesterday so sales were on the slow side.  The going rate is $.50 per glass this year (one size - for those of you who read last year's christmas letter).  So if you're in the area look for the big umbrella on the front deck and stop in for some lemonade.  Should be hot again tomorrow. - Shari

Fish catches boy….

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

Future guidesActually it was boy catches fish!  Look at the size of these fish.  The one Jaret is holding is half as big as he is!  These were caught by our future guides yesterday.  They tasted as good as they looked!

The weather has warmed up nicely and the landscape is absoutely lush with all the rain we have had.  I have updated the vacancies list on the web site so check it out.

9 lb Northern!

Monday, June 4th, 2007

Rain or shine didn't stop this group from camping and fishing.  Here's a picture of Matt Stewart with a nice 9lb Northern he caught yesterday on Loon Lake with the help of his friends Andy Holsclaw and Shawn Strang.  The group is from South Range WI.

June fishing!

Sunday, June 3rd, 2007

Well it's finally beginning to feel normal again.  Guests are coming and going.  The bugs are here, and the weather is varying from one minute to another.  Today started out with rain.  In fact when I got up and looked at the weather report to see the little picture description say "Numerous Showers" as if showers weren't enough.  Things cleared up for awhile this afternoon and the sunshine felt good.

Bob took Jaret out last night for about an hour before calling it an evening.  They found a school of Lake Trout hanging out between 45 - 70 ft.  The hooked into a couple pretty quickly by jigging.  The evening before Bob took both the boys and we had fresh Lake Trout and Northern for dinner - Yum.  He's out fishing for Walleyes this evening so perhaps I'll be posting another blog in the morning.

We have quite a few openings for last minute vacations if you can get away for a night or a week.  Give us a call at 800-533-5814.
