Did you know that Dog Days are not so named for the heat, although it is hot some times, but are actually named for the Orion constellation and especially the dog star Sirius?  In August Sirius starts making it's way back to the evening star line up and here in the northwoods we get some beautiful night skies.  Our days are long with twilight lasting until well past 10 p.m.  Come up and enjoy some quiet time with our dark skies.  Who knows!  Maybe even some northern lights.  They have been seen this summer!

We had a young 3 year old guest catch his very first fish this past week.  Look for his picture soon on the blog.  Quite a feat!
