Spread
out along 1400 ft of Gunflint Lake's South shoreline, our resort
property offers a quite retreat for both the camper and cabin guest.
White Pines, Cedar and Balsam mix to offer a Northwood's canopy.
The rise and fall of our terrain also assist in making each place
feel uniquely private. The Northwestern exposure offers
some of the most beautiful sunsets this side of the the border.
With the campground to the west and the Cabins to the east, the main
lodge and marina area are at the heart of it all. We're a great
resort for family reunions; offering a variety of accommodation
options to fit any budget.
During
the winter months, the campground is transformed into a ski trail
and connects to the upper Gunflint Nordic trail system. A
local group of deer winter in our campground feeding off of the
lower branches of our ceder trees and bedding down in the quiet
shelter of the unoccupied campsites. The Hiking trail system
offers snowshoeing, snowmobiles can access the snowmobile trail
system via the waterfront marina area and we often spend at least a
little time each day sliding down our driveway before returning to
warm by the fire and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate.
